She was married to John Hess (son of ) on 13 May 1852. John Hess was born on 12 Aug 1830 in Lycoming Co, PA. He died on 25 May 1909 in Montgomery, PA.⁽⁶⁹⁾ Settena Gross and John Hess had the following children:
